The Simple Upload screen provides a streamlined method for ingesting media into a Keeping Culture Archive without the need to upload files via FTP or access the administration pages. Access to the Simple Upload screen is governed by the user, groups and permissions systems on both mobile and desktop interfaces.
Amazon Web Services provide Command Line Interface tools (AWS CLI) to download and synchronise data from S3. Amazon’s support documentation provides comprehensive instructions on installing and configuring the tools for use with your account details.
Transmit is a Mac file transfer tool which supports a number of protocols, including S3 and FTP. While there are other file transfer tools that support S3 for the Mac, like Cyberduck, in our opinion Transmit is the simplest and easiest to use. Transmit can be trialled for 7 days before requiring registration.
All customer content is backed up on Amazon S3 storage.
